Within Autocentres, your main focus will be supporting the bespoke point-of-sale (POS) system we use in Autocentres across the UK. And, as our Support Centre and store colleagues rely on our IT systems and management information to ensure they've all they need to do their job well, you'll enjoy the chance to support them too. It's a vital role that impacts on almost every person here at Halfords.
For a relatively small team, we have a large impact and influence across our business, using a variety of marketing tools including advertising, CRM and promotions & merchandising to name but a few to encourage existing customers to revisit and to attract new customers.
It's definitely a buzzing environment where every person is expected to think on their feet, make decisions and never lose sight of the customers needs and our commercial objectives.
In Operations, we deliver a unique combination of selling, fitting, repairing and testing. As new products and customer platforms such as online are constantly being developed, it can be tricky to stay on top - but it's a challenge we thrive on to ensure that Halfords remains a number one brand in an evolving retail market.
Purchasing in our Autocentres means more than purchasing. There's plenty of variety. But a career with us isn't without its challenges too. Purchasing at Halfords can be hands-on.
