  The values were something that resonated with me and it felt like it was somewhere I could fit in.

• Tell us a bit about your role…

  I am a People MI Analyst so I produce/analyse all of the people related data from turnover and retention, to pay rates and bonuses for the whole business.

• What do you get up to on a typical day?

  Every day is different which is really good. I also have certain metrics that I have deadlines to meet throughout the month running alongside any projects we have underway at the time.

• What’s the best thing about working here?

  Without a doubt the people. The environment is very welcoming and inclusive and lets you be yourself.

• What challenges have you faced and how did you deal with them?

  I came into my current role from within a different area in the business so the job was completely new to me which was a challenge and, due to the frequency of some of the tasks I do (some only happen once a year), is still is a challenge at times. Seeking out colleagues within the business who have a different skill base than I do helps. We work cross-functionally all the time and sharing skills and knowledge is a real benefit.

  There is so much available, from e-Learning on our learning environment, the Hub, to face to face courses – all for free!

• What do you think makes someone successful at Halfords?

  Adaptability and teamwork along with a desire to do well.
