  • Retail Apprenticeships

    Our Gears Programme offers hands-on experience, a salary, the opportunity to gain qualifications whilst you work and a fantastic career path. Supported and encouraged by your manager, a coach and colleagues, you can expect:

    • Gears 1 and Gears 2 training programme e-learning and face to face training modules.
    • Training in how to give the best ‘friendly expertise’ to each and every customer
    • A Level 2 qualification in Retail

  • Autocentre – Vehicle Technician Apprenticeships

    Our highly trained technicians at over 300+ Halfords Autocentres across England, Scotland and Wales, carry out MOTs, car servicing and repairs for over 750,000 customers a year.

    If you are fascinated by all things technical, have an inquiring mind and an interest in cars, you could be enjoying a job that is different every day.

    These practical, highly skilled roles ensure we deliver dealership quality work on any make or model of car. So, as a Halfords Autocentre Apprentice, you’ll get to master a range of technologies across all kinds of cars – that’s a lot of valuable, career building knowledge.

    For the duration of your Apprenticeship you will work at one of our Autocentres with your mentor for four days per week and attend a local college one day per week, during this time you will gain the knowledge and skills to become one of the best technicians in the business.

    Entry Requirements

    • Level 2 Light Vehicle Service and Repair (essential)
    • GCSE A-C grade or Functional Skills Level 2 in English and Maths


    Over two years, you’ll first study and achieve a Level 3 Standards Apprenticeship.
