It was a big brand company which appealed to me and job security. It’s quite dynamic and in the motor trade, which is what I’d always done previously.
I’m an Assistant Manager now. I’ve only been in the role a couple of weeks. I’d previously gone off into doing admin so I’m going back to the customers because that’s what I missed!
Open the building, have a look and see what jobs are in, order parts, serve customers, and hopefully have a good day!
Every day is different. I like the challenges and the fact that no two days are the same.
There’s the Hub. I’ve done a couple of online courses. I’ve also been off and done a time management course which was run like a workshop. It was really good and I found it really useful. I haven’t explored everything on the eLearning Hub yet!
My biggest achievement was probably my previous role with Halfords, in Central Operations where I organised the Annual Conference. It was fun – stressful but fun!
I think if you show the commitment and drive to making the customer experience as good as it can be you are recognised for that within the business.
I’d tell them it’s a good company to work for. There’s lots of career progression, both in Centres and Retail, and the Support Centre as well so there are lots of routes that are open to you.
