For me it’s quite simple, they’re very much local to me and have a very good reputation within my area.
On a typical day, my main job role is obviously picking bikes but then I also float around other departments, helping with any tasks other managers have for me.
I’ve been fortunate in that since taking on full-time at Halfords, I’ve been working towards becoming a Relief Team Manager. This has presented numerous challenges but I’ve been lucky enough to have support of the Management team to help guide me through that.
I’m currently in the early stages of my training but with the help and support of my management and their recommendations I will soon be put onto the management training course.
Since being taken on full time, having the Management team recognise potential in me and helping me progress within the company.
